Crater detection on satellite images

Introduction

  • Our ARtillery Crater Analysis using NEural networks (ARCANE) a post-processing based on ARCADE due to it has too much false positives if we only use the latter. ARCANE + ARCADE is an automatic bomb crater detection tool from satellite images with neural networks.
  • Here is some introduction slides about ARCANE and the code for training and deploying neural networks for concept detection (including craters) in aerial map imagery.
  • ARtillery Crater Analysis and Detection Engine (ARCADE) is an experimental computer vision application built using MATLAB. ARCADE scans satellite imagery for signs of artillery bombardment, geocodes artillery blast craters, and will ultimately calculate the inbound trajectory of projectiles.
